Dera follower dies of heart attack

Kaithal: Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda follower Joginder (40) of Jakholi village in this district, who was lodged in Kaithal jail, died of heart failure in civil hospital here today. Joginder felt pain in his chest yesterday and was taken to the local civil hospital for treatment. After taking medicines he was again taken to Jail. He again felt pain in his chest today following which he was again taken to hospital where he died at about 1500 hours.

The kin of deceased was informed by Jail authorities. According to information, the deceased was booked in two cases in Rajound police station in this district for his alleged involvement in the recent violence. One of the cases in which he was booked pertains to attempt to setting on fire Kotra village power house and attack of police personnel and in the second case he was booked and arrested for arson at the Rajound Power station after conviction of Ram Rahim. He was arrested by the police on August 26 and sent to jail. The post mortem of deceased was reportedly conducted in the civil hospital in the presence of a Magistrate and body was handed over to his kin. (UNI)
