Bhopal:Senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijaya Singh today presented himself for arrest at the state capital's TT Nagar Police Station.
Mr Singh's decision came in the wake of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's recent statement calling him a "traitor". He was accompanied by a large number of supporters in the form of a rally to the police station.

However, police did not arrest him since no complaint or offence was registered against him.
"The Chief Minister must be possessing evidence of my being a traitor. He must either prove it and register a case or apologise publicly for the remark," Mr Singh told media here.
He said that he would move the court against the Chief Minister for making the remark.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Rameshwar Neekhra told UNI that that he has filed a complaint against the Chief Minister for making false statements sans evidence and thereby endangering peace. (UNI)
