On Tuesday, suspended Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha member Kalyan Banerjee was seen mimicking Dhankhar, who is also the ex-officio Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, on the steps of Parliament's Makar Dwar.

The Trinamool MP was surrounded by other opposition leaders, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared to be filming the incident.

In the clip, Banerjee can be heard mimicking Dhankhar's conduct of Upper House proceedings with gesticulations. “My spine is so straight; I’m so tall ”, said Banerjee, imitating Dhankhar.

Dhankhar has expressed his disapproval of Banerjee's mimicry of him, calling it “ridiculous” and "shameful”.

Dhankhar’s remarks came amid continued protests by the opposition, which has been demanding a discussion on the Parliament security breach that took place on December 13.

So far, a total of 141 MPs have been suspended for "unruly behaviour". 95 of them are from the Lok Sabha and 46 from the Rajya Sabha. (UNI)
