Encounter ensues in central Kashmir district of Badgam

Srinagar: A fierce encounter ensued between militants and security forces in central Kashmir district of Badgam on Monday, a police spokesman said.

He said security forces on a tip off about the presence of militants launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at Hapat Naalah Zinpanchal in Badgam Monday morning. During the operation an encounter took place, he said adding further details are awaited.Additional security forces have been rushed to further tighten the cordon.(UNI)
