Environmental laws need strict implementation: Javadekar

New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) With environment and climate change issues being taken up seriously on the legal front, Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday voiced concern over non-implementation of rules, particularly relating to environment protection.
 
Addressing an International Conference on Environment, Mr Javadekar said the courts specially Supreme Court's environment bench and the National Green Tribunal are processing the cases in speedy manner keeping in mind the significance of environment, but when it comes to implementation, the situation is bad.
 
Javadekar said the government will take firm stand on environmental issues as it has demonstrated by approving the 2016 Paris Agreement.
