Exit Polls predict fractured mandate in Karnataka but huge gains for BJP

Bengaluru: Exit polls for the fiercely contested assembly elections in Karnataka show the BJP making huge gains but falling short of magic mark while Congress suffered considerable reverses.
According to Jan Ki Baat-Republic TV prediction, BJP's tally has been shown between 95 and 114 and Congress share 73 to 82.The JD(S), which may play king maker has been shown with the chance of making it in 32 to 43 seats.
 
The C Voter survey has predicted that BJP will emerge single largest party with 103 seats followed by Congress with 93 and JD(S) 25 seats. In 2013 the Congress figure was 121 followed by BJP at 40 and JD(S) 40 and KJP and others 22. 
 
The Times Now VMR prediction showed Congress making it between 90 to 103 seats while BJP making it between 80 to 93. The JD(S) share has been shown at between 31-39.The Times Now-VMR prediction, however, says the present figures are of polling till 3 pm and so their findings can change after taking 6pm polling.
 
The Prajana News channel has shown BJP having chance of winning 102 to 110 seats followed by Congress at between 76 to 80 while JD(S) winning possibly 35 to 39 seats.
 
The Suvarna news channel shows Congress having the chance of emerging as single largest party with 106 to 118 seats while BJP tally may be between 79 to 92. The survey by Suvarna news channel shows JD(S) having the chance of winning 22-30 seats.(UNI)
