New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her Budget speech on Monday announced an allocation of Rs 3,726 crore for the forthcoming census.
"Forth coming census, could be the first digital census in the history of India. For this monumental milestone marking task, I have allocated Rs 3,768 crore in this year 2021-22," the Finance Minister said.
The Indian Census is the largest single source of a variety of statistical information on different characteristics of the people of India.(UNI)
