Former IAS A K Sharma appointed as UP BJP Vice president

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh BJP has appointed new presidents of the Frontal units and new members in the state executive to give a boost to organisation before the crucial 2022 assembly polls.
State President Swatantra Dev Singh, on Saturday, has appointed a new state vice president and two state secretaries.
 
Former bureaucrat turned politician A K Sharma, who was in the race for state cabiniet minister after becoming MLC has been made the vice president in the state unit.
 
Now all speculation of Mr Sharma, a close confidant of Prime minister Narendra Modi, of becoming a minister in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet has ended.
 
Mrs Archana Mishra (Lucknow) and Amit Balmiki (Bulandshahr) have been made state secretaries in the party.
 
Meanwhile state president Swatantra Dev Singh has announced the state presidents of various fronts of the party. Mr. Pranshudutt Dwivedi (Farrukhabad) has been made president of Yuva Morcha, Mrs. Geeta Shakya, a Rajya Sabha MP (Auraiya) has been made Mahila Morcha president, Mr. Kameshwar Singh (Gorakhpur) will be the new Kisan Morcha president, Mr. Narendra Kashyap, former MP (Ghaziabad) has been made Backward Morcha president and Mr Kaushal Kishore, MP from Lucknow has been made Scheduled Caste Morcha president.
 
Mr Sanjay Gond (Gorakhpur) has been made Scheduled Tribe Morcha president and Kunwar Basit Ali (Meerut) has been nominated president of the State Minority Morcha.(UNI)
