Former K'taka CM Siddaramaiah tests positive for COVID-19

Bengaluru:Close on the heels of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, tested positive, the Opposition Congress leader and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, also contracted coronavirus and got admitted to a private hospital here.
According to official sources, Siddaramaiah, who was suffering from mild fever on Monday, was tested positive for the COVID-19 and immediately advised to be admitted into the hospital by the doctors.
 
Siddaramaiah, himself had disclosed about his illness in a Twitter message, had confirmed about it and had also advised his supporters and other leaders, who had come in contact with him in the last few days,to undergo COVID-19 tests.
 
In a health bulletin, the Manipal Hospital authorities, while confirming about Siddaramaiah, tested positive for the COVID-19 had stated that his condition is stable and treatment is being given as per the protocol of the disease.
 
According to party sources, Siddaramaiah, might have contracted the disease, as he was busy in meeting leaders of various organisations, and the party, besides travelling extensively in the last one week.
 
Incidentally, both the Chief minister B S Yediyurappa and the Opposition Congress leader were admitted into the Manipal Hospital, which is located within the city.(UNI)
