Hyderabad: Several prominent people have come forward to support flood relief efforts in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, announcing substantial donations to assist those affected by the recent heavy rains.
 
Leading the way, actor Prabhas pledged Rs 5 crore to the governments of both Telugu states, alongside efforts to provide food and water to flood victims. He also encouraged his fans to actively participate in relief programs.
 
Heritage Foods Chairman Nara Bhuvaneshwari announced a donation of Rs 1 crore each to the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, expressing hope that her contribution would aid those in need.
 
Megastar Chiranjeevi also extended his support, donating Rs 50 lakh each to the two states. He expressed deep sorrow over the hardships faced by the people and urged collective involvement in the relief efforts.
 
Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu announced a donation of Rs 1 crore, with Rs 50 lakh allocated to each state, aiming to support government-led relief initiatives.
 
In addition to these contributions, BRS MPs, MLAs, and former minister Harish Rao announced the donation of one month’s salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Telangana government employees also pledged one day’s salary, amounting to approximately Rs 100 crore.
 
Junior N.T. Rama Rao contributed Rs 50 lakh each to the flood relief funds of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
 
These donations reflect a united effort by celebrities, politicians, and public figures to alleviate the suffering of those impacted by the floods.
