After a hiatus of 137 days, the oil marketing companies increased the fuel prices by 80 paise per litre on March 22. Cooking gas prices too were increased.
The fuel prices were not increased for the last over four months presumably due to Assembly elections in the five states in spite of crude oil prices increasing in the international oil market due to the Russia-Ukraine war.
Some oil marketing companies had raised the bulk diesel prices by Rs 25 a litre last week. (UNI)
