Gandhi family has no objection over release of convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case

Puducherry: Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Monday said that the seven convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case be released as the family of the deceased had stated that they do not have any objection.  
In an informal chat with newspersons, Mr Narayanasamy said  Tamil Nadu government has taken a decision to release the convicts and recommended to the governor who will take a decision shortly.
 
Since, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi has stated that they do not have any objection in releasing the convicts, their release could be justified, he added.(UNI)
