Govt to give priority in future recruitment to medics completing 100 days of COVID duty

New Delhi: The Prime Minister’s Office on Monday announced that the government will give priority to the individuals in forthcoming regular Government recruitments providing minimum 100 days of services in Covid duty.

Apart from preference in recruitment, the PMO also said that Medical personnel completing 100 days of COVID duties will be given Prime Minister’s Distinguished Covid National Service Samman.

The medical students/professionals sought to be engaged in Covid related work will be suitably vaccinated and all Health professionals thus engaged will be covered under the Insurance Scheme of Government for health workers engaged in fighting Covid 19, a statement said here.

The States/UTs have also been requested to maximise the manpower availability and help India overcome the Covid crisis. (UNI)
