Solan: The police has registered a case against Haryana BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli and singer Rocky Mittal for allegedly raping a woman at Kasauli police station in Himachal Pradesh over 18 months back.
According to the complainant, she was allegedly raped on July 7, 2023 by the BJP leader and his associate. The complainant alleged that Rocky Mittal had lured her to become an actress in the film industry and Badoli had promised to get her a government job.
In the complaint lodged in Kasauli police station, the victim alleged that she used to live with her friend and worked with Amit, a resident of Sonipat, for about two years. Amit's office was in Netaji Subhash Palace. She mentioned in the complaint that on July 3, 2023, she came to Himachal with her friend and Amit.
They put up in a hotel in Solan. Then two persons who were also staying there met them. Both of them allegedly started talking to her and her friend. One of them was Mohanlal Badauli who was allegedly calling himself a politician and the other Rocky Mittal alias Jai Bhagwan was calling himself a singer. "While talking, both of them took us to a room and said let's sit and talk".
Further, she complained that Jai Bhagwan promised to give her the role of an actress in his album and Mohanlal Badauli said that he will get her a government job as he has connections at the top level. After this, both of them forcibly made her drink alcohol and started molesting. On protesting, they allegedly threatened to kill her and later both of them raped her. They also took her photos and made videos.
On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against Mohan Lal Badoli and Rocky Mittal under sections 376-D and 506.
Investigating Officer Dhanveer said the case has been registered, and investigation is on. The woman has made allegations of sexual exploitation, in which Mohan Lal Badauli has also been named.
Rubbishing the rape allegation, Mohan Lal Badoli called it a "political stunt" and said "the whole case is false to tarnish my clean image in public".
