New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Friday issued notice to the Centre, Delhi government and Delhi Police on a plea seeking lodging of an FIR against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and others for allegedly giving hate speeches.

A division bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice C Hari Shankar issued the notices on a petition filed by Lawyers Voice and adjourned the matter for April 13.

The plea sought directions to constitute an SIT to look into these hate speeches.

The plaint also sought a case against Aam Aadmi Party leaders Manish Sisodia and Amanatullah Khan, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leaders Akbaruddin Owaisi and Waris Pathan, and lawyer Mehmood Paracha.

Several pleas relating to hate speeches by certain political leaders were moved in the High Court on Thursday.

The plea claimed that the hate speeches led to communal tensions and resulted in death of many persons in northeast Delhi. (UNI)
