Jammu: Police and Army on Tuesday launched a joint operation and arrested one over ground worker of Hizbul Mujaheedin in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police sources here said that acting on specific inputs, police and the Army launched a search operation in Ratna village of Sheikhpura in Doda early today.
"One individual tried to escape, following which he was chased and apprehended," police sources added.
The arrested person was identified as Tanveer Ahmed Malik and he was affiliated with Hizbul Mujaheedin. A case registered with police station Doda and investigation started, the sources said.(UNI)
