Hoax bomb call creates panic at New Delhi Railway Station

New Delhi: Bomb scare triggered panic at the New Delhi Railway Station today as multiple agencies were pressed into action to search the whole premises as a call was received by the Government Railway Police at around 3 am regarding a bomb about to go off at the station. Later, the police informed that it was a 'hoax call', as no suspicious object or bomb was found during the search operation conducted by GRP, Delhi Police and the ATS.
 

The police also checked all the trains that arrived at the station in the morning including all 16 platforms and other places at the station which is spread over a large area. The search went on for several hours before the information was declared 'fake' by the police. Further investigation was underway, the police said. (UNI)
