Puducherry: A stone idol of Lord Venkatachalapathy was installed at the Panchamukaha Anjaneyar temple in Panjavadi near here on Friday on behalf of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
A large number of devotees thronged the Anjaneyar temple to worship the deities on the occasion of the installation of the 7.5 ft tall Venkatachalapathy idol with two tonnes weight.
The idol was brought to Panjavadi from Tirupati 45 days back and after several poojas the installation was performed today.
A Veena concert by 54 Veena artists was performed on the occasion.The Panchamukha Jayamaruthi Seva Trust has also arranged 'Anna Danam" to the deities who came to the temple today.
A 36 ft tall Viswaroopa Jayamangala Panchamukha Anjneyar is the main deity at the temple and 'Sannidhanams' were arranged for Jayamangala Valampuri Mahaganapathy and Patabishega Ramachandra moorthy, besides the Vankatachalapathy.(UNI)
