Pilibhit (UP): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday attacked the INDI alliance of Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress accusing them of insulting Lord Ram by rejecting the invitation to the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram in the grand temple of Ayodhya.

Addressing a public rally in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates, the PM said, "The INDI alliance of SP and Congress is not concerned about the heritage of the country. After a wait of 500 years a grand Ram temple has been constructed in Ayodhya. Every family of the country contributed according to its reverence."

He said that former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Kalyan Singh dedicated his life and government for Ram temple. "The people of Pilibhit also gifted a huge flute to the temple. These people of INDI alliance hated construction of the temple and they still hate it," he said.

Modi said, "You did whatever you can in the court to stop construction of the temple. You made several efforts to ensure that the temple is not constructed, but when the people of the country made a grand temple by contributing every penny, when the people of the temple invited you so respectfully for consecration ceremony by forgiving all your past sins, yet you rejected the invitation for consecration ceremony and insulted Lord Ram."

He said that these people have so much poison in their heart that they expelled the party leaders, who attended the consecration ceremony, for six years. "Can this happen in India? What type of party is this which expels a person if he worships Lord Ram? Never forget the people committing such a sin," he said.

The PM said that Congress is so deep in the quagmire of appeasement that it can never come out of it. "The manifesto which Congress has made seems to be more like that of the Muslim League," he said.

He said that under pressure of appeasement whether its Congress or SP are opposing Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). "If India will not give citizenship to my Hindus and Sikhs brothers, who are forced to flee due to atrocities in foreign countries, then who else will? It's my guarantee to families in Pilibhit, you just apply and will get rid of all the problems forever. You will be able to live with pride as an Indian citizen," he said.

Modi said, "But Congress and SP are raising objections over it. There are a large number of refugees and Sikh brothers in this rally. No one will ever forget what Congress, with which SP is allying today, did with our Sikh brothers and sisters in 1984. It is only the BJP which is standing with Sikhs firmly. We feel pride when lakhs of pilgrims visit Kartarpur Sahib through Kartappur Sahib corridor and pay obeisance and bring blessings for us."

He said that it is the BJP government which removed the GST on things used in Langar. "We ensured FCRA registration for Harmandir Sahib so that foreigners could get a chance to serve. By celebrating Veer Bal Diwas we gave respect to the valour of Sahibzadas. Whether its 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev, or 400th Prakash Parv of Guru Teg Bahadur or 350th Prakash Parv of Guru Govind Singh, the BJP government celebrated all the parvs in a grand manner in the country and abroad," he said.

The PM said that Congress and its INDI alliance does not hesitate in insulting the great personalities of the country. "Big leaders of Congress and SP never went to the Statue of Unity of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel and paid respect to the great leader, who dedicated his life to uniting the country. They even boycott Sardar Patel, who united the country. Nothing more can be expected from the INDI alliance, which is conspiring to divide the country. BJP has come to you for your blessings for the unity and integrity of the nation," he said.
