India crosses 50000-mark in nCoV cases

New Delhi:India on Thursday breached the grim milestone of 50000 novel coronavirus cases, as the country witnessed a sharp rise of 3561 cases in past 24 hours.

According to Health Ministry data, the country has now a total of 52,952 COVID-19 cases while the death toll now stands at 1783 as 89 fresh fatalities were reported in the past 24 hours across the nation.

There are 35,902 active cases in India at present. As many as 1084 people have recovered from the illness in past 24 hours taking the total number of recoveries till now to 15266.(UNI)
