New Delhi: India has rejected with contempt the Pakistan army’s statement seeking to blame India for the suicide bomb attack in which 13 Pakistani soldiers were killed in North Waziristan yesterday.

In a statement, the MEA said:

“We have seen an official statement by the Pakistan Army seeking to blame India for the attack in Waziristan on 28 June.“We reject this statement with the contempt it deserves.”

Notably, 13 Pakistani security personnel were killed and 16 others injured when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive laden vehicle into a Pakistani military convoy in North Waziristan area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province yesterday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistani army’s media wing, in a statement said the attack was “planned and orchestrated" by India and executed by the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
