Tokyo: Indian archers Pravin Jadhav and Tarundeep Rai crashed out of the Tokyo Olympics after losing their respective second men’s individual matches, here on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old Pravin went down in straight sets to the Rio 2016 bronze medallist, Brady Ellison of the USA.
He had defeated world No 2 Galsan Bazarzhapov of the ROC in straight sets (29-27, 28-28, 28-24) in the first eliminator.
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old lost to Israel’s Itay Shanny in a shoot-off in the round of 32 at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field.
In the close first elimination round, Tarundeep had come back from behind to defeat Ukraine’s Oleksii Hunbin 6-4.(UNI)
