The national capital, Delhi, was rocked by a massive car bomb explosion on Monday evening. Nine people have been confirmed dead and several others injured in the blast near the Red Fort. Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stern warning from Bhutan, stating that the perpetrators of this horrific incident will not be spared and that agencies will get to the bottom of it.

PM Modi's 'Strict Declaration': Meetings Continued Throughout the Night
Immediately after the blast in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi, who was on a two-day visit to Bhutan, expressed deep sorrow. He clarified that he arrived in Bhutan with a heavy heart. According to sources, he remained in contact with investigating agencies and senior officials in India throughout the night, continuously reviewing the incident.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi (from Bhutan) stated that the incident in Delhi was horrific. The perpetrators behind it will not be spared. I was in contact with all agencies investigating this incident throughout last night... Our agencies will get to the bottom of this conspiracy.

Home Minister Amit Shah also reviewed the situation, and teams from the NIA, NSG, and FSL were immediately dispatched to the scene for investigation. Preliminary investigations have not ruled out a terrorist angle, and the timing and method are suspected to be similar to previous attacks linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

Will 'Operation Sindoor' be repeated?
Following this incident, all eyes are once again focused on 'Operation Sindoor.' This was a military air strike carried out by the Indian Armed Forces in May 2025 against terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK in response to the Pahalgam massacre. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has already warned that Operation Sindoor has only been paused, not ended. He stated that in the event of any future terrorist attack, it will resume.

Investigative agencies are now investigating every angle, and if the blast is linked to cross-border links, the central government's stance could be clearly one of taking strict action.

'Panic' in Pakistan: Army on High Alert
The reverberations of the Delhi blast have reached Pakistan, causing panic there. According to intelligence reports, Pakistan has raised its security alert to unprecedented levels, fearing an Indian response.

Air Force Alert: Pakistan has issued a red alert for all its airports and airfields.

NOTAM Issued: A 'Notice to Airmen' (NOTAM) has also been issued, indicating air traffic restrictions and increased security protocols in the tense border areas.

Emergency Meeting: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also called an emergency meeting with the three service chiefs on Tuesday to discuss possible military action by India. Pakistan fears that if Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) is proven to be involved in the Delhi blast, India will not remain silent like last time, and a retaliatory action similar to 'Operation Sindoor' could be witnessed.<>
