Alert! ISIS has a plan to mix poison in the water tank of this temple

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police has issued an alert to the Railway authorities of a possible poisoning of drinking water providing to the pilgrims of Sabarimala Ayyappa temple, by Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists.

According to a letter addressed to the Manager of Thrissur Railway station, there were intelligence report to poison drinking water providing to the pilgrims in trains and railway stations. Requesting the Railway to take necessary safety measures while supplying drinking water and food items to the passengers, the letter confirmed an intelligence report in this regard.

Reacting to the incident, Kerala DGP Loknath Behra said “A lot of threat messages are spread through social media, claiming to be that of IS (Islamic State). Every aspects of such messages are being enquired into by Police, including the veracity of them. While enquiring into such aspects, we also normally give certain alert messages to the authorities concerned, as a precaution and to remain alert. 

We are keeping a watch on the critical infrastructures of public interest. We are alert. In this context I would like to inform to the public that these are part of normal policing activities and there is no need to panic.” “I also appeal to the public not to fall prey upon such messages and keep off from spreading them,” he said in the message.(UNI)
