J&K: Arrested terrorist spill beans, police recover more weapons in Reasi

Jammu: The Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh on Monday morning said that more recoveries of arms and ammunition were made based on the disclosure of Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists captured by brave villagers in Reasi District of Jammu and Kashmir.

The villagers of Tukson Dhok on Sunday showed extreme courage in apprehending two most wanted terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba who had reached that area to take shelter after continuing counter-terror operation by Police and Army.

Singh said that on the disclosure of one of the arrested terrorists Talib Hussain, arms and ammunition was recovered from the hideout at Draj in Rajouri district.

The recovery included six sticky bombs, one pistol, three Pistol Magzine (2 Glock Pistol and one 30 bore Pistol), one UBGL launcher, three UBGL Grenades, 74 Ak rounds, 15 rounds glock pistol, four rounds of 30 bore pistol and one IED remote with antenna.

The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has announced Rs 5 lakh cash reward to brave Tukson Dhok villagers of Reasi for apprehending two most-wanted terrorists.

“I salute the bravery of villagers of Tukson Dhok, Reasi, who apprehended two most-wanted terrorists. Such determination by common man shows end of terrorism is not far away. UT Government to extend Rs 5 Lakh cash reward to villagers for gallant act against terrorists and terrorism”, said the Lt Governor.

The arrested terrorists were identified as Talib Hussain of Rajouri and Faisal Ahmed Dar of Pulwama and they were apprehend with two AK rifles, seven Grenades, Pistol and a huge quantity of ammunition. (UNI)
