JDU leader beaten to death in Nalanda

Rajgir (Bihar): Janata Dal (United) leader Anil Kumar was beaten to death by unidentified assailants in Bihar's Nalanda district on Monday, police said.
 
Police sources said that JD (U) leader Anil Kumar (62), a resident of Maua village, left home Monday morning with a farm patwan.
 
Meanwhile, four people ambushed from the east beat him to death.
 
The injured JD (U) leader was rushed to Biharsharif Sadar Hospital, where he died during treatment.
 
Superintendent of Police Ashok Mishra said a land dispute was the reason for the murder.
 
Sources said that JD(U) candidate from Nalanda parliamentary seat and MP Kaushlendra Kumar Biharsharif reached Sadar Hospital, where he met the family members of the deceased.
 
He demanded the arrest of the culprits involved in the incident. The body has been sent for a postmortem.
 
The matter is under investigation.
