Jammu: Alert troops of BSF on Wednesday detected another tunnel along international border in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The tunnel detected along IB in Hiranagar sector of Kathua is approximately 150 metres long, proper engineering effort has gone into construction of this tunnel,” N S Jamwal, IG BSF, Jammu Sector told reporters at the spot.

He added that this is a deliberate effort of Pak to push in terrorists into India and it seems that it hasn’t been used recently.

He added that tunnel seems to be old as the sand bags found were of 2016-17 and whether it has been used for infiltration or not, is being investigated.

Pertinent to mention here that this is the ninth tunnel found on border. (UNI)
