Mysuru: A mobile phone landed before Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was standing atop a specially-designed vehicle used for the roadshow here on Sunday.
Fortunately, the mobile did not strike PM Modi, but fell before him, on the roof of the driver's seat who was driving a specially-designed vehicle for the mega event.
As the mobile landed before him, PM Modi pointed to the Special Protection Group who were accompanying him in the vehicle about it.
A video that went viral on social media depicts that the mobile flew from PM Modi's left side and landed on the roof of the driver's seat.
According to police, the woman who threw the phone on vehicle of PM had no ill intention and was thrown in excitement.
The mobile however was returned to the owner later by the SPG, police said.
PM Modi was on a two-day visit to poll-bound Karnataka, and attended public meetings at Humnabad in Bidar district, Kudachi in Belagavi district and a roadshow in Bengaluru on Saturday.
On Sunday, he addressed election rallies in Kolar city, Channapatna in Ramanagara district and Belur in Hassan district, culminating with the roadshow in Mysuru. (Inputs from agencies)
