Chennai: Police have enhanced security arrangements at the residence of TVK Founder and actor-politician Vijay in the wake of yesterday's tragic stampede during his political rally at Karur that left 39 dead and 51 injured.
A 15-member police team, headed by a senior official, was posted in front of Vijay's residence at ECR to prevent any backlash.
Meanwhile, members of the Tamil Nadu Student's Movement attempted to stage a demonstration in front of Vijay's House this afternoon.
After shouting slogans demanding action against the actor holding him responsible for the trgedy, they were dispersed by the security personnel.
