“Khela Shesh Hobe, Vikas Aarambh Hobe”: PM Modi’s reply to Mamata Banerjee’s ‘Khela Hobe’

Purulia: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the countdown for Mamata Banerjee’s government began and May 2 will usher a new horizon for West Bengal and promised to fulfil BJP’s agenda to build a “Sonar Bangla”.

Mr Modi while addressing a rally said “Unishey half Ekusay Saaf” meant in 2019 parliament poll TMC came into half with Lok Sabha seat and now 2021 assembly poll it will come to end and called the voters to cast vote fearlessly and freely.

“I assure the people of Bengal, I assure every BJP worker that after the formation of the BJP government on May 2, every criminal will face action according to the law. The rule of law will be re-established in the BJP government.”

He said that those people opposed the government was brutally murdered and were hung by the trees in Purulia.

Slamming the TMC government for alleged corrupt practices in every aspects of the welfare schemes, Mr Modi warned that the Didi’s 10 years game was over.

Lampooning Mamata Banerjee’s slogan “Khela Hobey”, Mr Modi said “Didi’s game is now over at end of this election and BJP’s vikash to start from May 2,” the day the results of the 294 assembly polls to be out.

Mr Modi pointed out that the TMC stood for Transfer My Commission and said cut money, toll bazz, and appeasement policy for the last 10 years deprived the common people for having a decent life.

The Prime Minister also charged the TMC stand on the Pulwama attack, which the Bengal ruling party had questioned the Indian Army’s retaliation and Batla encounter, in which too the TMC had raised question even the Indian security personnel was shot dead by the terrorists in Delhi.

Mr Modi also targeted Mamata Banerjee for allegedly allowing corruption and violence under her watch.

He also responded to Mamata’s ‘Khela Hobe’ election slogan by saying his party will say not Khela but Vikas and Job Hobe.

Mr Modi said: “Didi says Khela Hobe, BJP says Vikas Hobe. Didi says Khela Hobe, BJP says Vikas Hobe, Sonar Bangla Hobe. Didi says Khela Hobe, BJP says chakri hobe, development hobe, education hobe, hospital hobe, school hobe, sonar bangla hobe.”

He said the drought prone areas of Purulia were still having tremendous problem with drinking water and a project for such could not completed after eight years.

“What did Didi do when Amphan Cyclone came - If you need help, then deposit a part in the party office. Even if there is no loss, you can get the help amount, only one condition is to deposit the money in the party office.” Mr Modi said while referring about the corruption.

On the other hand the BJP’s central government’s policy was s DBT- ‘Direct Benefit Transfer’ and in West Bengal, the government has TMC- ‘Transfer My Commission’, said Mr Modi, amid chanting of Modi Modi from the audience at Bhangra rally where the PM wanted vote for the party candidates.

He said first Left government and then TMC government did not let industries develop here. The kind of work that should have been done for irrigation, did not take place.

“I know the problems faced in rearing livestock due to less water. TMC government was busy in its ‘khel’ by leaving farming on its own. These people have given Purulia a life riddled with water crisis. They have given Purulia, migration. They have given the poor of Purulia, discriminatory governance. They have given Purulia an identity of being one of the most backward areas of the country,” Mr Modi reminded and adding that the government here was also encouraging the Maoists activities.

He said once the BJP formed the government there will be more focus on skill development, so that the youths from Dalit, Adivasi and backward areas can also get connected with employment opportunities.

“It will be ensured that Chhau artists, handicrafts here get other facilities related to earning and honors.” (UNI)
