Maharashtra doctor detained by ATS for alleged links with ISIS suspects

Aurangabad: A doctor hailing from the Khuldabad city of this district was reportedly detained by the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) between February 24-26 over the suspicion of having alleged links with nine people accused to be ISIS members who were arrested from here and Thane district in January.
According to reports,the doctor was detained based on a tip-off and later the ATS interrogated him for his association with the alleged ISIS members. The ATS released the doctor whose identity is kept anonymous and warned him not to leave the city without prior permission,said reports.
 
During the arrests of these nine alleged ISIS members,the ATS personnel seized chemicals,acid bottles,knives,mobiles,hard disks,and SIM cards from them. 
 
All the nine accused presently lodged here have been booked under IPC section 120 (B) which stands for criminal conspiracy as well as other relevant provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Bombay Police Act.(UNI)
