Maharashtra: 11 Mumbai policemen suspended for not showing up for guard duty at 2 RBI offices

Mumbai: Eleven Mumbai policemen, who were on guard duty at the two Reserve Bank of India buildings in the Fort area, were suspended for not showing up at work without informing office, officials said here on Thursday.
 
Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Jadhav confirmed the penal action and said that a staff member responsible for assigning work to policemen was also being issued a memo.
 
A total of 80 armed personnel of Mumbai Police guard the country’s central bank round-the-clock.
