Major fire in Mumbai ED office (VIDEO)

Mumbai: A major fire broke out early Sunday at the Mumbai Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in south Mumbai, with no injury reported so far.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) received the call at 2:39 am and declared a Level-I fire at the central agency office Kaiser-I-Hind building, located in Ballard Estate of South Mumbai.

Firefighters and rescue teams were rushed to the scene, and by 3:30 am, the fire was classified as a Level-II blaze, indicating a major fire incident.

The fire was confined to the fourth floor of the five-storey building, officials confirmed.

The authority stated that the emergency response included eight fire engines, six jumbo water tankers, an aerial ladder, a breathing apparatus van, a rescue van, a quick response vehicle and an ambulance that that are engaged in the rescue operation, which is still going on.
