Mamata Banerjee not to hold election campaign in Kolkata

Kolkata:West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee will not campaign in Kolkata anymore, hours after her roadshows ended in this metropolis for her party candidates in south Kolkata.
"Mamata Banerjee will not campaign in Kolkata anymore," the party spokesperson Derek O'Brien tweeted on his account. He, however, has not cited any specific reason.
 
Ms Banerjee on Sunday held two roadshows at Bhowanipur/Rashbehari and Dhakuria Bridge to Kalighat Crossing.Ms Banerjee has three election meetings in North Dinajpur on Monday (today).
 
Mr Brien on his Twitter account said, "Only one ‘symbolic’ meeting on the last day of campaigning in the city ( Kolkata) on April 26. Slashes time for all her election rallies in all districts. Restricted to just 30 minutes. #BengalElection2021 #Covid."(UNI)
