New Delhi: After 14 years, a man, who stabbed his wife to death following a quarrel, was found not guilty of murder by a Delhi court.
The court convicted him of the offence of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, observing that he did not act in a cruel manner.
The court observed that there was a quarrel between the victim and her husband where the wife attacked the accused first, following which he stabbed her.
So, there was "no premeditation", nor did the husband take undue advantage or act in a cruel manner, but he had the knowledge that injuries could cause her wife’s death, it said.
