A shocking and extraordinary incident has taken place in Surat, Gujarat, leaving doctors and locals stunned. Reports claim that a patient who had been declared clinically dead suddenly came back to life — his heart started beating again 15 minutes after it had stopped. This unbelievable medical event has become the talk of the city.
Heart Stopped, Declared Dead
The patient, 45-year-old Rajesh Patel from Ankleshwar, was admitted to Surat New Civil Hospital in critical condition. Doctors said that he was suffering from severe heart failure. During treatment, his heart suddenly stopped, and the ECG monitor showed a flat line, indicating no heartbeat.
Despite repeated attempts with CPR and medication, there was no response. After exhausting all efforts, the medical team officially declared Rajesh Patel dead.
Life Returned After 15 Minutes
However, around 15 minutes later, something completely unexpected happened. The ECG monitor began showing a heartbeat, and the patient’s body started moving slightly. The shocked doctors immediately rushed him back to the ICU and resumed treatment.
Doctors Call It a Rare Phenomenon
Dr. Umesh Chaudhary, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Surat Civil Hospital, said, “In my 30-year career, this is the first time I’ve seen a patient’s heartbeat return on its own after a flatline. It’s an extremely rare occurrence in medical science.”
He added that Rajesh’s condition remains critical and he is currently under intensive monitoring in the ICU.
