Srinagar:Militants kidnapped and later killed three personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police while brother of a cop was released in south Kashmir district of Shopian on Friday, official sources said.
The militants barged into the houses of constable Firdous Ahmad Kuchey, Kuldeep Singh and Nissar Ahmad Dhobi and Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, brother of a cop at Kapran in Shopian and later kidnapped them at gun point.
The bullet-riddled bodies of policemen were recovered while Fayaz was released, the sources said, adding that a massive search operation has been launched to nab the militants responsible for these killings.
Senior security force and police personnel have rushed to the spot, they said.
