Midnapore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today slammed Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government, saying syndicate culture was destroying Bengal.

Addressing a massive gathering of Kishan Smabesh at College Ground here, Mr Modi virtually launched electioneering in West Bengal for  2019 Parliament poll for the BJP as he accused the Trinamool Congress of indulging in “syndicate culture” and destroying the social fabric.

He charged the state government with depriving the common people of having the fruits of development in the country.

Pointing out that the ruling party here has no respect for any constituent institutions like the court of laws, judiciary and election commission, the Prime Minister said the Mamata Banerjee government and the administration have been working only for the interests of the “syndicates”.

“Every need of the people in Bengal is surrounded by the syndicate,” Mr Modi alleged and urged the people to stand united and end the syndicate raj in the state.

Mr Modi said the people had fought to get rid of the left parties for decades to see the parivartan but this present government was worse than that.
“The real face of ‘Ma Mati Manush’ is for everyone to see. There is ‘murder your opponents’ syndicate operating here. Nothing can happen in West Bengal without the permission of this syndicate. Even doing ‘puja’ has become difficult here,” the Prime Minister asserted.

“It has destroyed all fabric of the society in the past eight years,” he stated and urged the people to stand once again united and bring about the change.

Mr Modi sarcastically “thanked” Mamata Banerjee for grand welcome in Bengal. “I am thankful to Mamata didi for putting up so many flags to welcome me here that there are flags everywhere,” said the Prime Minister.

“There is ‘murder your opponents’ syndicate operating in West Bengal,” averred Mr Modi.

He also said, “125 crore Indians are trying to realise their dream of New India. Our country is witnessing change. 125 crore Indians are trying to realise their dream of New India.”

“We will ensure all farmers get benefits,” assured Mr Modi.

“The BJP government is working to make lives easy for all of you. We will ensure all farmers get benefits. India is going through a major development change. Everyone in the country is trying to give their 100 per cent effort towards a bringing development. Our government worked for farmers, from quality seeds to market, important to have warehouse to save the produce,” he iterated. (UNI)
