PM Modi- CM Mamta on the same page for Netaji anniv celebrations

New Delhi:Seems "unbelievable " but it is reality. In a panel, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi- formed to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on January 23 - Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her predecessor Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee are figuring.
According to Government sources here, both Mamata and Buddhadeb- the "arch rivals" of the PM- are included in the panel in which the members include 10 Union Ministers and seven CMs.
 
Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Nirmala Sitharaman are among those who are part of the panel that will decide on the activities to be undertaken for the year-long celebrations planned by the government.
 
With the Bengal polls around the corner, the panel has a host of BJP members and central  ministers from the state as members.Mr Suvendu Adhikari, who resigned from Trinamool Congress to join BJP last month, has been included in the panel.
 
Members also include historians, authors, citizens and members of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's family.Asked to comment on the PM-led Netaji panel, also comprising Mamata Banerjee and Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, a senior BJP leader, on condition of anonymity, claimed " This proves that BJP can rise to the occasion, setting aside political differences."Bengal, alongside four other states, are going to Assembly elections in April-May.(UNI)
