Ballia: In a bizarre incident in Uttar Pradesh, a Muslim family has beaten up a woman and threw her out of the house for making paintings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Superintendent of Police (SP) Anil Kumar said here today that on the complaint of the woman, police has lodged FIR against seven people including her husband and in-laws.

The SP said Nagma was married to one Parvej of Basarikpur village on November 26, 2016. As Nagma had a hobby of drawing and painting, she drew up paintings of the PM and CM and showed it to her husband. However, seeing the paintings, the family went furious and severely thrashed Nagma and threw her out of the house.

However, the parents of Nagma tried to pacify her in-laws, but they were adamant. Thereafter, yesterday, the victim filed a police complaint. Mr Kumar said that police was investigating the case. (UNI)
