Nagpur Shocker! 9-year-old raped in front of younger sister, given Rs 20 to remain silent

In a shocking incident, a 9-year-old girl was raped in front of her 5-year-old sister and offered her Rs 20 to stay silent in Maharashtra’s Nagpur.

The horrific incident took place in Pardi area when the sisters were alone at home as their parents, who are daily wage workers, were out for work.

On Sunday, an unknown person entered their rented home around 4 pm and asked about their parents' whereabouts.  He then raped the elder sister in front of the younger one and gave her Rs 20 to not tell anybody about the incident and fled away.

The incident came to light when the girl told her parents what had happened after they returned home. They immediately went to the Pardi police station, where the child was sent for a medical examination that confirmed rape. She was bleeding from her private parts.

The police have registered an FIR and searching for the accused.

Based on the 5-year-old's account, police suspect the attacker is a Marathi-speaking man with a 'tilak' on his forehead. The police say he might have known that the girls were usually alone during the day.
