Najma, Ghulam Nabi among 5 to be conferred outstanding Parliamentarian Awards

New Delhi: Indian Parliamentary Group (IPG) has decided to confer Outstanding Parliamentary Awards to five Parliamentarians which includes senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad and Manipur Governor and former Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptulla.The Parliamentarians who have been chosen for the award include three MPs from Lok Sabha and two from Rajya Sabha.
The awards are being given for the years starting from 2013 till 2017, an official statement said on Monday.The Outstanding Parliamentary Award for 2013 has been conferred upon Dr Najma A Heptulla while Hukumdev Narayan Yadav gets it for 2014. Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad has been named for the award for 2015. Mr Dinesh Trivedi, MP (LS) has been nominated for 2016 while Bhartruhari Mahatab, MP (LS) has been conferred the award for 2017.(UNI)
