NDA MP Shambhavi Chaudhary Sparks Controversy After Showing Two Inked Fingers Post-Vote in Bihar; Netizens Ask, “Did She Vote Twice?”

A video of NDA MP Shambhavi Chaudhary, from Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas), has stirred controversy online after she was seen showing inked fingers on both hands following her vote in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 Phase 1.

In the viral clip, Shambhavi is seen posing with her parents — JDU leader Ashok Chaudhary and her mother — after casting their votes. Initially, she displays the inked finger on her right hand, but moments later, she switches and shows the inked finger on her left hand instead. The MP also appears to have a brief conversation with her mother, seemingly deciding which finger to show.

The 11-second clip, first shared by ANI, quickly spread across social media platforms, with users questioning whether she voted twice.

While sharing the video, one user wrote: “She is Shambhavi Chaudhary, daughter of JDU leader Ashok Chaudhary & MP from Chirag Paswan’s LJP. Yesterday, after voting in Bihar, she was posing for the camera & she had ink on both hands. Did she vote twice? Just look at her expressions after being exposed!”

One user commented on the post: “The hand + finger is fixed for an election. So you can't vote twice just by having mark on two different hands.”

“Why father's right hand finger is inked?,” Another user commented.

Several users also pointed out a noticeable change in the expressions of Ashok Chaudhary.

Many tagged the official handle of the election commission, seeking an explanation on the viral video.

However, one user tried to clarify: “It happens some time when you give your right hand for ink then the official realize to ink on left. It has happened with me also.”

The first phase of the Bihar elections took place on November 6 across 121 constituencies, while the second phase is scheduled for November 11. The results will be announced on November 14.
