In a major development in the investigation into the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, the Delhi Police have recovered 9mm cartridges from the incident site. These include two live cartridges and one empty shell. Notably, such ammunition is banned for civilian use.

Investigators suspect the cartridges may have been linked to terror suspect Dr. Umar, as ordinary citizens cannot legally possess 9mm pistols. This type of ammunition is typically used only by security forces and police personnel. According to sources, the most striking detail is that no pistol or weapon parts were found at the scene.

13 Killed in Red Fort Car Blast

On November 10, an i20 car exploded near the Red Fort, killing 13 people and injuring several others. The blast engulfed multiple nearby vehicles and causing chaos in the area. The incident sent shockwaves across the country.

Blast Car Was Inside Al-Falah University Premises

The i20 car used in the explosion was present inside Al-Falah University until October 30, according to CCTV footage seized by investigating agencies. Footage shows the car entering the university premises on October 29, and exiting on October 30 at 2:41 PM, reportedly driven by Umar.

Three Detained, Including Two Doctors

Delhi Police have detained three individuals, including two doctors from Al-Falah University, in connection with the blast. Meanwhile, the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) have lodged two separate FIRs against the institution over alleged irregularities flagged during their inspections.
