NIA arrest Al-qaeda operative in Bengal posing as Madarsa Teacher

Murshidabad:The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a suspected al Qaeda operative, Abdul Amin Mondal, from this border district of West Bengal, yet another breakthrough to bust Pakistan aided terrorism in this part of India after six such operatives were arrested in September.
A media report quoting the NIA said on Monday that the latest arrest was made from Raninagar of this district following a raid after tips hinted at the hideout of the suspected al Qaeda operative.
 
The NIA also seized some incriminating documents from the arrested person, whose name has been withheld for the interest of the investigation.He is also reportedly a Teacher in the Madarsa.The NIA would take him to New Delhi on transit remand for further investigation where previously nine arrested al Qaeda operatives were under NIA custody.
 
The NIA  arrested 9 al-Qaeda terrorists from West Bengal and Kerala on September 18.Of them six were arrested from Murshidabad.(UNI)
