The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday conducted raids at eight locations across Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam districts in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with a ‘white-collar’ terror module allegedly linked to the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort.
Officials said the raids included the home of Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay in Shopian, who has been identified as the key conspirator behind the module’s radicalisation and recruitment network. Wagay was arrested in October and later taken into NIA custody after the agency assumed charge of the investigation.
Search operations were also carried out in Koil, Chandgam, Malangpora and Samboora areas of Pulwama district, targeting individuals believed to be connected with the Delhi blast case, officials added.
The NIA further searched the residence of Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather, who was arrested from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh in early November.
