New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed Nirbhaya case death row prisoner Vinay Kumar Sharma's petition challenging the Presidential decision to reject his mercy plea.A bench of Justices R Banumathi, Ashok Bhushan and A S Bopanna said the authorities had considered all relevant aspects and documents before the rejection.
"There is no merit in the petition," ruled the bench.Apex Court also found no merit in Vinay Sharma's plea that he suffered from mental illness and said the general medical condition of the condemned convict showed that he is stable.(UNI)
