Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday expressed his deep shock over death of veteran socialist leader Sharad Yadav and described it as personal loss.
Kumar in his message said he had deep and strong bondage with Sharad Yadav whose death had left him shocked. Death of Sharad Yadav had caused great loss to political and social arena of the country, he added.
Chief Minister prayed to almighty for giving strength to bereaved family members in this hour of tragedy. He also prayed for peace for departed soul.
Sharad Yadav was Union Minister in Vajpayee cabinet and was also national convener of NDA during this period. He was president of JD(U) but later deserted the party following difference with Chief Minister Kumar and formed Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD). He had merged his party LJD with RJD last year. He had represented Madhepura Lok Sabha seat from Bihar.Veteran socialist leader died after prolonged illness last night at age of 75 years.(UNI)
