Northwest, central, east India to get respite from heatwave for next 5 days, Delhi likely to witness dust storm: MeT

New Delhi: Delhi is likely to witness a dust storm, as the maximum temperature in the national capital is likely to settle around 38 degree Celsius, as per India Meteorological Department on Wednesday.

According to the MeT department, no part of northwest, central and east India is likely to record a heatwave over the next five days.

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature settled at 38.4 degrees Celsius in the national capital after touching the 44-45 degrees mark this season.

As per the weather agency, the relative humidity was recorded at 64 per cent at 0830 hours on Wednesday morning. The minimum temperature was recorded at 28.8 degrees, four notches above normal, said the agency.

According to the predictions, the mercury is likely to touch around 40 degrees Celsius on May 6 and after that the temperature will further increase and likely to touch at 43 degree Celsius on May 9. (UNI)
