Once the CM of Jharkhand, Madhu Koda won't be able to contest this election

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday denied former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda permission to contest the upcoming state elections.
The Top Court said as one more year of Koda's disqualification remains, he cannot be permitted to fight polls and issued notice to the Election Commission on the petition.
 
Koda was disqualified by the poll panel in 2017 for not submitting poll expenses incurred by him in contesting Assembly election in an appropriate format.Koda, an Independent MLA, served as the chief minister from 2006 to 2008.(UNI)
